We are proud to announce our continuing support of commuinty charities that are really making a difference in Herefordshire!
This year our Santa's Grotto raised £3,000. The proceeds have been divided between four vital local charities that are supporting individuals and families through challenging times.
These donations were made as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting local charities and giving back to the community.
Two of the four charities we chose this year are The Herefordshire Multiple Sclerosis Support Trust and the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Hereford branch. Here at Radway Bridge Garden Centre we recognise the importance of supporting efforts that make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and families affected by Multiple Sclerosis. Herefordshire Multiple Sclerosis Support Trust (HMSST) is grassroots, which means it really understands the individual needs of those they support. This means they are really able to target the financial support they offer, which transforms lives. The Multiple Sclerosis Society Hereford Branch delivers activites that radically improve the quality of life for those living with an MS diagnosis. Twice a week they offer movement to music groups, at St Marys Church Hall and they also offer a space where thsoe diagnosed with MS can get together with a once a month social lunch at The Bay Horse Inn, on Kings Acre Rd.
On Thurday the 25th April 2024, representatives from St Michaels Hospice and MS Society Hereford Branch attended a ‘Big Cheque Presentation’. No one living in Herefordshire needs any introduction to the essential services St Michaels Hospice deliver but perhaps you weren't aware that they receive no central funding, relying totally on donations from individuals and local businesss. There are so many ways your can get invovled - direct donations, events and sponsorships.
Representatives from We are Farming Minda, our fourth chosen charity will be coming in for their presentation on the 2nd May. Their Tractor Runs have become an annual specatacle of national importance and , in a few short years, this Hereforshire grass roots charity is leading the way, both highlighting the pressure our wonderful farmers are under but also delivering grass-roots community solutions.
We would like to extend a huge Thank You! To our Santas Grotto visitors, our Elves, Santas and all volunteers.
It really shows that by working together we can really make a difference to invidvidual, families and communities in our wonderful county.
