Indoor Shop Supervisor - Full Time - Radway Bridge Garden Centre

ROLE DUTIES:

  • Problem Solving and Solution Finding.
  • Ensuring high standards of merchandising are met at all times in all departments.
  • Liasing with the Manager and each department about any issues and jobs that need to be completed.
  • Cashing up of tills and recording/reporting any differences.
  • Opening and locking up of store each day you are working.
  • Being responsible for the till team and resolving any issues in a timely and efficient manner. Reporting any issues where needed to your line manager.
  • Ensure all jobs issued by the manager for that day are carried out by the appropriate member of staff in a satisfactory manner.
  • Ensure day to day roles are carried out correctly and day to day procedures are followed.
  • Dealing with customer queries and steering towards the appropriate member of staff where necessary.
  • Answering and dealing with customer telephone enquiries.
  • Reporting any issues or problems to your line manager immediately that cannot be resolved by yourself.
  • To coach, motivate and develop staff to achieve personal and store objectives through:
  • Effectively communicating and ensuring staff adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with training and development needs within the centre.
  • Assist to ensure all reviews and appraisals are conducted within set timescales.
  • Lead the team forward, acting as an inspirational role model, striving for excellence at all times
  • Motivate individuals to achieve more and identify talent management.
  • Ensure all staff follow company procedures relating to clocking in and out, dress code, staff purchases, staff meals and break times.
  • Assist when needed with performance and conduct issues in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Be aware of sickness and absence levels and conduct return to work interviews where needed.
  • To assist the General Manager in managing staff rotas and holiday.
  • To communicate effectively with the General Manager to ensure key information is passed up and down the line.
  • Assist when needed to effectively and efficiently plan and manage key events such as Christmas, Bank Holidays & Seasonal centre change.
  • Ensure Health and Safety standards are adhered to and maintained at all times.
